April 2020

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope you are doing well during this chaotic time with COVID-19.

A lot has happened in the last couple of years. I live in California, teach at a wonderful school, go to an amazing church and have a great community of friends. For all of us, life looks different with the virus affecting the world. However, it is time for me to embark on an adventure that God has put on my heart. It involves three things that I absolutely love; travel, cultures and The Lord! I get to put those things together and serve people in South America and Asia. I want you to be a part of this journey and there are a couple ways you can do that.

The World Race is a mission trip where I will go to 11 countries in 11 months which is affiliated  with an interdenominational missions organization called Adventures in Missions. I have known about the World Race for years and fell in love with their mission to “...serve God, serve with others and make a difference.” Serving in each country looks different, but some of the ministry opportunities will be VBS, church planting, manual labor, teaching English, ministering to orphans, serving in hospitals and a lot more.

As I prepare to do the World Race in the fall, there are two things I need. The first need is prayer. The other need, which is my biggest requirement is my financial support. I need to raise $17,700 by the end of this year and to raise $13,500 by September. I am asking you to pray about whether God is leading you to financially support me on this once in a lifetime experience. I want you to know that no matter the amount, whether it's $5 or $500, I am truly grateful. Even in this chaotic time with COVID-19, I am trusting in the Lord to meet this goal. You can send me money using apps like cash app ($snicholson399) or venmo (@Sarah-Nicholson-7) or for a tax-deductible donation:

  • on my blog (sarahnicholson.theworldrace.org)

  • send a check to: Adventures in Missions. PO Box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30274-2570, memo line: The World Race, Sarah Nicholson.

I will follow up with you in the next week or so to hear your thoughts about my letter, to answer your questions and to touch base with you on how your life is going. For more information, visit my blog sarahnicholson.theworldrace.org or go to worldrace.org.

With love,

Sarah Nicholson
